Essential Park Rules
Preserving the fragile ecosystem of Chitwan is our collective responsibility. Please adhere strictly to the following regulations while inside the park boundaries:
- Mandatory Guides: You must be accompanied by a licensed jungle guide for all jungle walks and safaris. Do not attempt to explore the deep jungle alone.
- Operating Hours: Walking inside the park is strictly prohibited between sunset and sunrise for your safety and the security of the wildlife.
- Wildlife Protocol: Do not disturb the flora and fauna. Observe animals quietly from a safe distance. Never remove plants, rocks, or animal products.
- No Littering: Carry out everything you carry in. Plastic pollution is highly damaging to the river ecosystem.
- Ethical Viewing: We strongly advocate for ethical wildlife tourism. We encourage jeep safaris over riding elephants, as it promotes a healthier environment for the animals.
